Dr. Rutherford Teaches Sedation Dentistry

Ten years ago I learned to do conscious sedation and it has been a tremendous blessing to our patients. We constantly have patients tell us about the bad experiences they have had in the past with dentistry and how our sedation has made it possible for them to have the dental care they know they need and want.

On February 24th I flew to San Diego, CA to look into becoming a teacher for the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS). This is the group I originally learned from and they have asked me to take part in teaching a course to doctors learning about sedation dentistry. I am excited to give back to my profession and to thousands of patients what I have learned from over 1,400 sedation appointments in the past 10 years. “The student becomes the teacher!”
